This amazing sauce maker has tried on multiple occasions to get his sauce delivered without damage to no avail. My order arrived today loaded with broken glass. It seams our mail service prefers to treat packages like soccer balls rather than fragile products with a monetary value. Hopefully we can find a reasonably cost effective shipping solution in the future.

Bajan Tyga is a uniquely Canadian twist to a traditional Barbadian (Bajan) styled mango & Scotch bonnet-based sauce.

PEPPER PROFILE

The main pepper used is the Scotch bonnet or ‘bonney pepper’ derived from the Capsicum Chinese chili plant. Originating in Jamaica, it is most common in Caribbean foods and has what is described as a fruity taste compared to its cousin the Habanero.

Scotch Bonnets (sometimes referred to as West Indian Habaneros) are HOT, measuring up to 445,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Not only do Scotch Bonnets make our food taste good, but phytochemicals in these peppers (capsaicin and flavonoids) are powerful antioxidants with anti-inflammatory and immune system benefits.

Dorset Naga peppers (hybrids) are added to give MORE heat and flavour. Hybrid Nagas are between 923,000 1,067,286 SHU.

How hot is the sauce? By comparison, jalapeño peppers are only about 2000-8000 SHU.
